If you do celebrate it, what kind of food do you serve?
I really want to know. My husband LOVES Bastille Day (he studied French History in Grad School). I want to do something special for him.

I too studied French and am a Francophile and Anglophile. Il fait beau, au'jourd oui n'est pa? Sadly, until you mentioned it, I had forgotten about the raid on the Bastille (I've been very busy, but I usually mark it in some manner each year). Thanks for the reminder!

Stormin' the nearest penitentiary. No, actually since I'm a big nerd, on a day like Bastille day, I try and incorporate french as much as possible into my daily conversations. I do the same with Spanish on Cinco de Mayo! It's my own dorky way of celebrating other nation's holidays.

Aha, someone is acquainted with in the present day is 14 july (l. a. Fete Nationale) in France. i'm partly of French ancestry. i flow to a constructive nightclub and function some beverages and function some fireworks at homestead in a while.

make traditional french food, snails anyone? i actually just came home from paris a few days ago and i kno their having a huge parade music carnival and whatnot.
set up some french flags and get some french music and play that
