lets say over summer you found love. you guys were really tight and felt like soul mates. you found out you were going to the same school.when you came to school you found out that he/she was a total dork and everyone hated him/her. so what would you choose?

To thine own self be true, sweetie. There's going to be a lot of situations in your life where you will have to choose between what you really want or what other people want. If you choose what YOU want, sometimes there are consequences...like people make fun of you, or you may lose friends. There's a cost, but there is also a reward, because each time you choose to be true to you ...you are building yourself into a real, authentic person. The benefit of this is that as you grow you will feel solid, not full of gaps and holes...people won't be able to knock you around...your feet will be firmly planted in your life and you won't be at the mercy of manipulation and shifting opinions. So, having been told all of this, what should you do? I think you know. Good luck, and don't let people making fun of you hurt too much because they're the ones that are the losers...they can't see what you can in this boy. And your love and support will help him to overcome all the hatred he gets from those same losers. Bring nobility and honor into your life and it will blossom into something so very beautiful.

It should only matter how you feel or see that person. Not what anyone else thinks. If other peoples opinions really affect the way you care about this person, maybe u weren't really in love or soul mates at all.

Who cares what everyone else thinks? If the reasons that the other people hated him or her are superficial, then feel lucky that you know the person better than they do. You found the gem in the rough, so to speak.

I would not care cause trust me its just high school and if you feel that this person is you soul mate then choose he/she over any one and you should not care weather or not if he/she is a dork!!!!!!!!!!!1

Other people is not going to be with you, its the person that you love. If you found that person that loves you and you love her/him, then other people's opinion shouldn't matter. It is you that needs to be comfortable with the choice.
On the other hand, that is the best way to find a love of your life. Check the way they communicate with people around them. Not the people she/he don't know, but the people they know.
In all, your opinion does matter, not the people who dislike the love of your life.

as you grow up, you'll realize that labels like "dork" don't mean crap, and it doens't matter what other people think about you as long as you are true to yourself.
If you love this person and really connect with them, I would stay with them. YOu obviously see something in this person that no one else does.
If you dump him/her because of what other people think, than the real loser is YOU.

I would still be with the guy no matter what others say about him. I am dating him, not them.
Another mans garbage is anothers treasure, so if you dump him cause of what others say, some other girl will come along and he will treat her how you wished to be treated.

Its really important to go with what YOU think about the person , not what "everyone" thinks. Would you let "everyone" choose your spouse for you? Or your job? Or what to wear? What to say?

well maybe u didnt find out the real he/she about that person and the other did . try askin why ppl didnt like him or her?! but i would kinda lay off of that person less u dont wan to make urself look worse. or mayb he changed over the period of time, but if u guys really like eachother then dont b shy b urself. that wat ppl have most prob. with and ppl need to express themsevles. but if ur in love dont b shy to expose it . just do wat u think feels right .

If u really love him does the whole school need to love him?Obviously u know him from the inside out, and that's what should matter.And that's what matters to me.
