What is wrong what all these other people picking crappy american cars like the mustang and the corvette, I would go for the Bugatti which is the fastest and most expensive car out there, going for $1.2 and with 1000 Horse Power.

The Chevy Camaro- At one time it held a title like best mass produced sports car. The basic powerplant has been around since the '50s as a 250 cu in v8(small block), which has evovled to to the 400. These engines were used in possible all of GM's cars and trucks, providing more support than just one single car.
For standard rebuilding or hot rodding, again the massive numbers of production contribute to lower cost/performance ratios, not achieved by any other manufacturer.
To put the cost issue into perspective- A gasket set for an engine expected to produce 500 BHP can be purchased for around $100. Any other sports car is going to cost you 5 times as much if not more, not to mention availability.
Go to your local fairgrounds and watch what make of car is beeing run in "street stock" class.
The Camaros looks may or may not suit your taste, do you care what the outside looks like when ripping down the freeway, or tearing up some curvy road?

I Love Mustangs....the powerful ones not the V6's. My boyfriend has an 03 Mach1, beautiful car and a 98, 5.0 GT Convertable. Love those cars!
But if I were to purchase one I would probably get an Infinity G35 Coupe. They just look smooth.
