Italy!! People can say france dominated the game but possession means nothing, its putting the ball in the net that counts. France got a lucky penalty and they're lucky Luca Toni's goal was WRONGLY called offside because it should have actually counted (thats why they're not showing us replays). Italy's defense is incredible and Cannavaro should have won the golden ball. I've had about enough Zidane fans making excuses for him. VIVA ITALIA and dont worry Materazzi... we STILL love you!! FORZA AZZURRI!!

Italy did win the World cup, nothing we can do about that...The actual game France were the better skillful players...Italy did great against Germany this was their best and cleanest game. Italy stole the game from Australia...Bad...The USA did GREAT against Italy...Italians played bad Soccer that day...

I think Italy should of won and they did. The french have proved they are ignorant animals that use their heads to attack people in a crazed and violent way. Zidane is an animal and should be jailed. They should also take the golden ball away from Zidane or everyone should boycott FIFA or France and french products.

Italy because I was rooting for them from the beginning (duh! I'm Italian).
But I must admit France played a very good game too.
Sometimes soccer is cruel and penalty kicks decide who is the winner. Italy lost on penalty shootouts several times, so I was happy that this time they won! But I can understand France's frustration, when you get so close...

I felt that France outplayed Italy throughout most of the game. However, the head-butting incident turned me off and I was glad to see Italy win.

i was born in Brazil but i am also italian cuz of my grandpa. Brazil deserved to win but since fifa paid them money to loose yeah i am happy italy won. they kinda did deserve to win. viva Italia. oh now that i look at the question again i c. Italy totally deserved to win over france. once again VIVA ITALIA
