It's probably a good idea because it is a path into engineering management. There may be some classes you would have to take first but a lot of business is just math anyway. A lot of graduate degrees are different from the undergrad degree. I'm planning a finance graduate degree when my undergrad is management. Of course management is related to finance though.

Good. Only if you want to go in to management. If you work for an "engineer" type company...this would lead you in the right direction for a great career.
Go for it...and no, it is not out of the norm. Check the records at Georgia Tech. I think something like 20% of undergrads go for their MBA or something like it.

Engineers are generally highly rational and to the point. These traits will make management courses a living hell. Why not get a nice degree in econometrics ;-)
