The hair that is used is usually Head Hair. What they do is use the inch or so closest to your head (that where all toxins and chemicals taken within the last few months go). Realisticly, they only need 20-30 hairs (They cut it by the way) but they may ask for more, only because the more hair, the easier it is.
You can go get a hair cut if that what you want. it's only the hair close to the scalp they need. You might ask them too if it is acceptable if a hair dresser takes/cuts the hair you need for the test too so you can't see where the hair is taken.

You could try to shave yourself completely bald(your whole body) and then maybe they won't be able to do it. Let us know how that works out.

when they had my hair tested, they are the ones who cut your hair right there in person. i don't think you can cut your hair and pass. yes only head hair

The last answer is right. Only one hair is needed, and it comes from your follicle. Cutting your hair does no good.

Marijuana is stored in hair for years and only one strand is needed. Each hair would have to be replaced by a new one to erase all traces of drugs.

it is hair from your head, and they only need one piece. it grows into your hair follice so cutting your hair won't help unless you haven't smoked pot in a long time. think about how slow your hair grows, you'd have to shave it if you smoked or did other drugs recently.

No.. you can't pass.. they can use any hair on your body... the bleaching and dying doesn't work either... go "Powder" (from the movie) style and you may have a chance.

There is stuff on the internet you can buy that my friend used and it works, double your money back. It is shampoo or something. Run a search, and you will find it.

any hair as long as the root is on it is good. and you cannot do it your self. the professional will pull it.
