ok this is not a question. this is for everyone that is answering questions about alaska that knows nothing about it. it is not that cold up there, only in the winter, and it still isn't that cold. 65 degree weather is shorts and tee shirt weather. we are not living in igloos and walking around in parkas.

I have been there twice and been as far north as Fairbanks, stopped in Denali also, took a cruise across Pr William Sound, cruised the inside passage. Its nice and warm is summers and surprisingly warmer further north than in Ketchikan.

But it is cold at the glaciers, especially Columbia and the College Fjords. And its cold if you are on deck on a cruise ship while it is moving too!!!

Been there and done that !!!

What? Next thing you will say is that you don't travel around behind a pack of dogs or eat blubber. I had the pleasure of traveling Alaska once, and it is a beautiful state. Yes, the other states forget about Alaska, the biggest(tell Texas that), and most gorgeous as far as wild lands. I live close to the Rockies in Co. but your camping areas beat the crap out of ours. I would like to move there too if a single woman could find a job as a cook, I would be there already. It is hard to find a job in Alaska on line, I keep looking.

Ya, I'd heard about the tshirts and shorts up there, but the frost bite must be something else. LOL!
