Electronic Fuel Injection- The fuel is delivered into a throttle body where the air rushing into the intake system mixes with the atomized fuel and goes into each cylinder as the intake valve opens and the negative pressure created in the cylinder allows the air fuel mixture to rush in. The Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection System has an injector at each cylinder. the injectors send a pulse of atomized fuel at the correct time.

Electronic Fuel Injection starts without putting your foot on the gas pedal to crank. Just turn on the switch and the EFI pumps the fuel needed to start your engine.

Electronic Fuel Injection is when fuel is burned to create energy in the form of heat.

There would be 4. Fuel is injected right into the intake port, so in 99% of the cases, there would be 1 per cylinder.

This jsn77raider was close but not entirely.....the EFI systems generally spray fuel all of the time unless they are sequencial...which is SEFI....you will see that on the Escorts and sometimes the Mustangs. Now that GM has gotten hot and heavy on sequencial, they are shutting injectors down to increase economy...GM actually pioneered that in the US in 2002 I think.

Yeah, Electronic Fuel Injection. Means there is no carburator or throttle body. Fuel is metered and squirted into each cylinder during intake stroke.
