I would look into who you know because in this harsh world we live in it's all about who you know. Maybe some friends could guide you in the right direction. Get your real estate license while working at your job currently. You can easily fit in both and not have to stress about being overwhelmed. I don't know how old you are but keep your options open for anything. Since you don't have a degree doesn't mean you can't find a solid job you just have to put yourself out there and let people know what you're all about. Oh yeah on line resumes are good as well. Good luck happy hunting.

I don't suggest leaving your current job until you have secured another one. I know it is really hard when you can't anticipate traffic but you just have to leave a lot earlier to ensure you are never late. If it takes you 35 minutes with no traffic and an hour still makes you late try an hour and 15 minutes. It is really hard, believe me...I am late to my job because I get stuck behind a train every so often and always feel so anxious. But again, try to look for something else. Try craigslist- you can take anything that pays your bills, remember it is only a season in your life and you can get through anything....if you can go back to school, or take a certificate program I am sure that will help. God Bless and take care...hope the best for you.

I think you two need to talk this out more. I gather here that you are afraid to move because of 'you' not finding a good job as a French teacher. But, this is about your husband's feelings, not yours. Your husband is unhappy with his job that you are just worried about your job instead of his happiness. He is miserable because of the location and because of little work. So, why not put more trust in your husband by moving to another location? If you are so concerned about your family and friends not being so close, then all they have to do is go and visit you guys at your 'new' place. Right now, your family is your husband and he should be the leader and you the co-pilot. Your mother will have to come and visit you too! You have to sacrifice in order to make each other happy. Right now, your husband is not happy with his job situation. So, please stop making it harder for him by holding him back from him wanting to make a difference by moving so he can look for a better and steady job and so he can make the money that he long for to support you and him. If you feel that you are holding him back, then stop that from happening. The question to you is, would you rather stay where you are and see your husband unhappy with his job and don't care about how he feels and just ignore his feelings? Or, are you going to let your husband start doing what it takes and go after the job that 'he wants' so he can support you both and make both of you happy? I hope this helps you because, you really need to let him lead. (smile)

A. There's no excuse for arriving late to work. start earlier.
B. Spending $20 a day to go to a job you hate is idiotic. Go find a job you like.
C. Professionalism is required for any workplace, and will win you the good references that you'll need for the rest of your career. Time to take stock, and a deep breath. Decide if you're in it for the paycheck, or if you are taking off on a career path.
Good luck!

Keep the job you have for now, but save every cent you can, then when you have enough saved that you can live for a month, quit, and start looking for another one that you will like, continuing to do occasional temp jobs in the mean time Change your resume so that your experience is highlighted, not your lack of degree

Do something to suppliment your income until you can get your finances in order. You can do this by getting a part time job, finding home employment, or starting a part time business. After your finances look a little better, you can afford to take time off to find another temp job or take time out to take a few classes to get closer to your degree or to get some type of certificate.
Try yahoo groups to find home businesses or employment.

Keep looking. If a prospective employer really wants to interview you, he/she should be flexible in scheduling an interview. For example, if you leave at 5:00, ask if you can schedule an interview at 5:30 or even 6:00.
