I have made big big mistakes in my life and I wish I could take them back at times but then again I would not for all the money in the world cause it makes me a better person and I can draw on my gain of overcoming that and I can stear other people away from that fate

Like Popeye alway said in all his cartoons "I is what I is" he never was trying to be anything different.

It's not in my past, but it affects me.

My father (after WWII) was suffering from what we now call Delayed Stress Shock Syndrome.

He was diagnosed and was told to go down the hall and turn to the left.

He went down the hall and turned to the right.

Many years later, there was a very messy divorce and we all got screwed up because of it.

What if he had turned left?

Acting stupid and hanging out with a guy I didn't even like! And on the other hand that caused me to lose the love of my life and a 5 years relationship that could've led to marriage eventually!
But... Ummm, what can I say!
I'll ALWAYS regret that dumb mistake of mine and would really wish to turn back time if I had the chance to do so.
I still love him and I'll always do...
But no one can help me!!!

I wouldn't undo anything that has happened to me - I would only change the way I reacted to some things.

I would have *insisted* that they let me stay in Grade 1, and not skip me ahead to Grade 2 after a few weeks. That one stupid action - by people who *should* have known better - began a cascade of problems for me that i still haven't overcome to this day.....oh so many years later.

(If you ever have kids, and they're really, really smart - as i'm sure yours would be/will be - please do *not* let anyone convince you to put them on an "accelerated" schedule. Please believe me: it is *not* worth it.)
