My mucous plug looked like a glob of cloudy white snot with a little pink in it. It still took 2 full days before I went into labor and I was only 1 cm and 90% effaced when I arrived at the hospital so I had to walk around for 2 hours before they would admit me or they wanted to send me home. If you're up for it, go for a few little short walks while you can when it's not too hot outside or even just around the house. Good luck! Epidurals rule! But it is your decision.

I did the same thing weeks before I had my baby and was also having the really sharp pain in my vagina, the dr would look at me like I was stupid when I told them. I ended up going a week over my due date and having to be induced.

What Are the Signs and Symptoms?
Acute bronchitis often starts with a dry, annoying cough that is triggered by the inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes. Other symptoms may include:
cough that may bring up thick white, yellow, or greenish mucus
headache
generally feeling ill
chills
fever (usually mild)
shortness of breath
soreness or a feeling of tightness in the chest
wheezing (a whistling or hissing sound with breathing)
Chronic bronchitis is most common in smokers, although people who have repeated episodes of acute bronchitis sometimes develop the chronic condition. Except for chills and fever, a person with chronic bronchitis has a chronic productive cough and most of the symptoms of acute bronchitis, such as shortness of breath and chest tightness, on most days of the month, for months or years.
A person with chronic bronchitis often takes longer than usual to recover from colds and other common respiratory illnesses. Wheezing, shortness of breath, and cough may become a part of daily life. Breathing can become increasingly difficult.
In people with asthma, bouts of bronchitis may come on suddenly and trigger episodes in which they have chest tightness, shortness of breath, wheezing, and difficulty exhaling (breathing out). In a severe episode of asthmatic bronchitis, the airways can become so narrowed and clogged that breathing is very difficult.

Unless you recently had intercourse, that sounds like the mucus plug and a small amount of bloody "show." Both signs of impending labor, but you're water might not necessarily break next. Chances are you'll be feeling contractions soon.
Have a great delivery!

hmm, could be. All pregnancies are different. To put your mind at rest though, give your doctor a call.
The last weeks are really the pitts! You figure, I'm so close, why not now? Or at least, that's the way I felt. I wish you and your baby the very best, won't be long no before you're holding him/her in your arms :)

sounds like it. I lost my mucous plug and didn't go into labor for another week and that's only because they induced me. You never can tell with these things, just listen to your body and you'll know when it's time.

Sounds like it. Any day now. Do some walking. My midwives always talked about the 3 H's to induce labor. (Hot food [spicy], hot shower, and hot sex)
Good luck. I know you are wanting to have that baby by now!

You've probably already lost your plug (it is similar in appearance to a blob of hardened snot - sorry for the nasty analogy!). What you're seeing is probably a side effect of the cervix effacing and dilating. Get ready!

It sounds like it could be. Are you having pain in your back. Pressure in your lower abdomen? If you are unsure call your doctor and get his advice. Good luck and Congratulations!
