to answer your question, mosquito's hatch between 20 and 90 young. but of course you would have to kill a female mosquito carrying young for you to kill more than that one mosquito. So if you kill a mosquito carrying mature young, you normally kill between 20 and 90.

the ones you are killing are not the ones laying the eggs, if you really want to kill a large number of them, make sure you dont have any standing water around your house, IE, upside down trash can lids, five gallon buckets, flower pots,wheel barrels, any thing that holds water.

One. You don't know if it will mate.
When they lay eggs it can be hundreds of them.
But, only a few of those survive.
And, since the total misquito population is effected more by rainfall and mass extermination, I would say that you just killed one.
