Cobwebs are the webs usually found in homes, particularly in the cellar or maybe attics. These webs are typically asymmetrical and messy looking, and therefore different from the circular, symmetrical kind you normally see in the garden.

These webs are typically made by spiders in the Theridiid family, sometimes called cobweb spiders, and are characterised by having really large, round abdomens, and tiny spindly legs. For this reason, they prefer to stay in their webs, because they really have a hard time walking around and balancing themselves on the ground.

The Black Widow spider is in this family and also makes those sort of webs, but I am sure you'd recognize one if you saw it, and they only hang out in the Southwest region of the US.

I think you mean a spider web in 20-30 minutes. A cobweb is when the spider has vacated the web and it is no longer used

Spiders don't make cob webs. They make spider webs. Cob webs are dust that accumulates in corners and stuff where the air doesnt move.
