2 weeks ago the truck had a new speed sensor put in i drove if for the weekend everything was fine but that monday a tree fell and crushed the roof when i got it back today i drove it and the tran wouldn't shift out of first i noticed then that the speed ometer wasn't working anymore but it won't shift it just stays in that one gear some body i need some good useful ideas quick please

check all fuses may have shorted one

Sounds like there's some wires cut or the speed sensor is not in position correctly. Check the speed sensor first....make sure it's perfectly in place, check the spot where the tree fell and make sure the wiring in the immediate area is not pinched or chafed. Check ALL wiring, if it's all OK, then you probably have a new defective speed sensor or the computer is bad. By the way....you never short a fuse...bad fuses are open....good fuses are shorted. I wouldn't recommend listening to that guy. Good luck.
