I was wondering if the recent revival with Alan Cumming was going to come out with a cast recording.

I believe so -- hang on. Well, I thought I remembered seeing something about it, but now I can't find it. The show was widely-panned, which might dampen enthusiasm for a cast album

Bartlet Brecht and Kurt Weill's The Threepenny Opera is a masterpiece of musical theater. I hope that a cast recording may be done with artists that can do justice to this musical gem. Alan Cumming is an excellent performer and it would be wonderful if he does a recording of this musical.

I heard that they werent, although there is a petition to have it done. I really hope, after seeing Cyndi Lauper and Alan Cumming at the tonys i fell in love!!
