Does it really matter? Seems like it does, but I guess the question is, why?
As others have stated, maybe he likes you on top. Maybe it's more pleasurable for him, maybe it's a control thing, whatever.
Have you tried talking with him about it? It can be difficult to do, because Western society is so repressed sexually, but it *can * be done. Make a game out of it if you can. Better yet, try telling him what you would like. Maybe he's under the impression that *you* like being on top most of the time, and he's lying there thinking "Why is it that 90% of the time my girlfriend and I have sex, she's on top?" These things can happen.
Not knowing how long the two of you have been together makes this a little more difficult to answer, but a couples' sexual relationship is one of the most difficult things to work on. But you both need to work on it together. Try to find a fun, safe way to approach it. Each of you could make a list of 5 or 10 things you like doing to/with your partner, then make a list of 5 or 10 things you would like your partner to do to/with you. Then pick an item from each list and have fun! Work through the lists over time (not all in one night or no one will be walking straight in the morning!)
Remember to be encouraging. No matter how confident a man may seem, the slightest perceived criticism in bed can be devastating. Try phrases like "I like it when you...", "I like it when we..."
Hopefully the two of you can continue to enrich your relationship on all levels.

I seriously think its because he LOVES it or else he would have already laid you down. Dont you think and by the way its not a bad thing that you are always on top because you get to move how you want to and enjoy it even more.
