Yes. It is a really creative ride that is getting more and more like the movies everyday. If plans go as expeced there should be Will Turner and Elizabeth Swan audio- animatronics in the attraction within the year. The narration in the ride is now done by the voice on Davy Jones in the second Pirates movie. The old narration was done by X Atencio, who was at the premier of the updated ride. As far as I know, he was not too concerned about the changes. But I definently recommend going. Just go to Disneyland because Disney World's Pirate ride is very different.
Also, if you want to have some fun with the cast members call the Jack Sparrow AAs "Johnny Depp" instead because the cast members must call them Jack Sparrow.... and it proves to be quite entertaining watching them try to correct the guests without being rude.

Pirates of the Caribbean is one of THE greatest rides ever. Also one of the definitive rides. Other theme parks even hearken back to this ride, probably because it inspires people who now work in the theme park industry. For example, Dudly Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls at Islands of Adventure imitates the Dog Holding the Key scene from Pirates. If you ever go to a Disney park, do not miss Pirates.
The great thing about the new additions to Pirates (Sparrow, Barbosa, and Jones) is that they didn't really change the ride all that much and didn't ruin it's charm, like they did with Journey to Imagination at EPCOT. You can see videos on the Internet of the revamp. The Jack animatronics are amazing to say the least! I know it's on YOUTUBE. Just type in Pirates, Ride, and Depp into the search bar.

Yes. It is one of the first rides that we hit when we get to Disney. Everyone loves the ride in my family. Each time we go on it we try to find something that we haven't noticed before. Now that they have re-done the ride, I can't wait to see it when we go in April.

yes, it was definitely not as exciting as the movie. and i went in October 2005, so they could have made it better, but i do like that the have created movies that go along with the park rides like pirates and the haunted mansion

Yes, more times than I can count. Grew up 5 miles from Disneyland. Last visit, it was closed. We were oddly enough VERY disappointed.. Can't wait to see how they've redone it. It's been the same since Disneyland opened.

Yeah, a few years back. It's kind of fun and all, but not super-special. Still, with the changes, who knows?
