Why would you want to get rid of it? Bumlebees are excellent pollinators and considered a beneficial insect. I also am pretty sure they live underground and though I have unearthed them before, and they did have some paper-ish construction inside the nest, it is rare to find one. Anyway, I did not get stung even though I accidently destroyed their nest with a tractor. Bumble bees are quite rounded and fat in appearance, but really, they are not at all aggressive, and don't eat much.
I wonder if you might have wasps? They have very narrow waists and will build visible paper or mud nests in inconvenient places. They are also much more likely to sting you. Wasp and Hornet spray at nightfall will kill most of them.

If you are going to spray any kind of hive, it is best to do it at night when they are all in their nest. You can use the foaming wasp spray or the WD40 recommended in another answer. Use a flashlight to spot the nest then spray them and leave. Be sure to do it quickly. Sometimes they come out of their nest when they see the light. If they ever do just shut off the light and walk away. Some bees have huge nests in the ground around shrubs. If you come across any wait til dark and spray the hole real good or you can pour in some kerosene but never gasoline.
If you ever find one up in a pine tree and can't get to it. If its far from the house, you can burn the side of the tree and hose down the other half of the tree. Later cut it down. Sometimes you don't have a choice. I hope this helps you.

Wait until night, when they are all in the hive. Then make smoke using old, all-cotton T-shirts or undies. This sorta makes them "drunk" where they are confused. Then either spray w/ poison or gently cut off and lower into an ice chest that has a tight-fitting lid. Drive to the coutnry, and drop them off.

You may also be able to call Animal Control in your area. If they won't do it, consider calling a bee specialist. They remove hives all the time, but they may not want to do it if they are not honeybees.

call an instect specialist to get rid of it. There are sprays you can buy, but the stuff that works best are industrial strength, and also professionals have sprayers that shoot a stream longer than 10 feet. And even when professionals do it, some bees will stay alive and just be very very angry, so unless you are confident on your breakdancing skills, I would get someone else to deal with it. It doesnt cost that much because it only takes a few minutes to do.

Call someone that has hives to come and get it. If you are going to spray use one with an extension and wait until dark when all the bees are inside. Spray as far away as you can stand then run.

Very carefully!

I have gotten bees out of the house by putting honey on a spoon-- and then getting the bee stuck on it. Bee's happy, I'm happy. So get a bucket, fill it with honey. Put a net over the hive, and knock it into the bucket. Tada!!!

Let me know how it works!

If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you should use, it's something that you would be insane not to. Go here https://tr.im/dLMIy
Truth is, I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars.

Get the Raid spray that shoots out like 6 ft. It kills them INSTANTLY and you are far enough away to not get stung. If it is in the ground, pour gas on it and light it on fire. Then run and let it burn.

I killed a large bee hive in the ground by pouring boiling water on it. No poison, and water is cheap.

Seriously use WD40 on it. Soak it down it kills most any flying bug and keeps them from coming back to the hive.
