There is no way in hell that they should lower the driving age. I know many of my brother's 14 year old friends, and they are not responsible enough to drive. I can just see them now with 10 kids in the car all texting their little girlfriends and hitting some old lady innocently crossing the street at a crosswalk. This is by no means a good idea. Plus think of all the car accidents, injuries, and deaths that would be caused. I think they should actually raise the driving age to 17.

Of course they should lower the driving age to 14 heck lets lower it to 10 then I can sue everybody who lets their kid run over my car or truck. I don't think a 14 year old could handle the consequences both physical and psychological if they were to accidentally run someone over and kill them.

OMG no! The absolute younger should be 16. Bush is a moron. So if he signs that bill and gets more money for that stuff, does that mean he lowers the price of gas, insurance, cars, etc. ??????

No, no, no! Since teenagers have a higher rate of accidents than any other age group, I think that they should RAISE the driving age to 18, at least.

Bush is an idiot! I think it should be raised to 18!
Kids get brighter and brighter as the generations go...but that doesn't mean they are any more responsible.
I see why it would be great for the economy, but money isn't everything, our safety should come first.

that is just some 14-year-olds stupid dream. no one would pay $15,000 on a new car for a 14 year old. not when 16-17-18 get into many accidents already.
dont talk about worthless stuff like that.

I think that's a very dumb idea. Especially since the worst drivers are those under 25 and over something like 65.

Why would he want to do something as crazy as that. I thought Regan was nuts when he wanted to make catsup a vegetable. Kids that age lack the reasoning and anti -impulse that is required to operate an auto safely.

God no. Whenever I see even an 17-year-old behind the wheel of a car, I'm like, Cripes! That person can't even vote and here they are operating heavy machinery on crowded streets. It scares me, it does.
