Happned to me a lot! My name is Jordan, a common name, and people are always like, "HEY JORDAN!" And im like, who are you and they ju8st walk by!!! Stupid people... i feel like a dork when that happens!

Oh yeah. happened many times. But didnt feel like a jerk. I just look to see their reaction. If they smiled or were still looking at me. I laugh loudly and make this the funniest joke on earth although deep down it doesnt feel like it, but after laughing out loud and say you really got me didnt you? I bet you did it on purpose or something like that and we all laugh happily ever after. Why should you feel embarrassed or a jerk?? we are all human beings and we all know these things happen. Next time try to make this out to be the funniest joke on earth and see people will love you for it and think you are really really a nice confident character. Then when you got home you can have a cold shower to make you forget unless of course you have been given a mobile number in the midst of all this. who knows you might end up getting married to that person and a year or two after you kick yourself why did you not just walked away as walking away now is very costly financially and emotionally specially if you happen to have a kid or two too.

O now! I can truly say yes!
I was parking my car when i saw a family (Man+woman+children) They were all waving at me. So i waved back at them, smiled and finished parking. I got out of the car and they walked up towards me. So i said 'Hello' to see them walk past me and greeting someone right behind me.
They looked at me as though to say "Who is that mad woman" And i felt pretty embarrassed, just walked away as quick as i could!

To wave in a friendly manner, or to greet somebody (talk to) in a non aggressive manner, can be a great pleasure to both the initiator and their subject. In fact it can give happiness and comfort to both persons
