Both my husband and I were virgins when we married 20 years ago. He was almost 25, and I was almost 22. I can say that neither of us has regrets because we waited. We have no comparisons going on in the back of our minds. We have learned and grown together as a couple. It has been great fun, and sex gets better all the time.
You may find it difficult to find a man who has waited for you. I hope that is not the case, but I still believe it is worth it for you to wait. You won't have to worry about if he wants you for you or just for what he can get from you. You won't have to deal with sexually-transmitted diseases. Sex (like nursing) is very bonding for a woman. If you wait, you won't leave little emotional pieces of yourself behind.
Once you give up your virginity, you can never get it back. You can never be a true virgin again. Right now you can become like many of the women around you in five minutes, but they can never ever become like you.
