Computers can freeze up for a variety of reasons. Viruses, spyware, adware, program failure, etc. Seeing how you said you use add aware you should be kind of protected. But add aware can't always be good too. Sometimes when you do a scan and you find errors and you delete them, you could be deleting something that is very important to your computer. I reccomend quarratining the errors just in case your computer fails and then you can just un delete them. You should also do virus scans using such programs like norton antivirus. Also computers can get slow because there is no hard drive space left on your computer. Surprising it be, computers need some space to run. Also you might have a virus in your temporary internet files. It is really hard to explain all the things you can do to fix these things in a short answer such as this one. So please email me at AlexG0507@yahoo.com or message me on the yahoo messenger and we can then figure it out easier.

Try scanning your computer for viruses. Thats most likely the problem. If that doesn't work try the "Disk Clean Up" and "Defragmenter". Then try freeing up some RAM. If that doesn't work try getting a new computer.

how often do you clean it of old files and cookies
sounds like you need a registry cleaner .like registry first aid
and a pest police like pest patrol

i clean my pc almost every day
one picks up a lot of files just by cruising the internet

you may have some pests as well
dont download and use free pest removers ,they tend to plant them
buy one for a couple of dollars ,it is worth it

You don't either have enough ram or just too many programs running in the back ground
