I was gonna say that velocity is not scalar, but it's speed, when I noticed the answer by the other guy... And, you should do your homework. These material are the foundations of your career and life basically.

"D" is the correct answer. In measuring velocity, BOTH "time" and "distance" is REQUIRED. These are the neccessary "standards" which complete the triangle in terms of "measurement". All of these standards are required, for example, in the field and study of Astronomy...which is my particular hobby to which a avail myself on every clear night year-round.
