Power is work per unit time....right?
P = W/t
Instantaneous power is then the infinitesimal amount of work done in that same amount of time......
...in other words: P = dW/dt
The rate of change of work done with respect to time.

Power is work per unit of time. So take the derivative.
Or if this is electical power multiply the instantaneous current by the instantaneous voltage.

I believe putting magnetism and electricity like electro-magnets together in a way that noone knows yet, will get instantaneous power. Magnets always have power, and putting that in an engine, I could breathe better!

20W is the average power, which varies sinusoidally between 0 and it's peak value. So peak power (max instantaneous power) is 40W.

p = vi
Instant. power is same as regular power just with time included (i.e. it's a function of time). So you'll find voltage and current at a certain moment (you'll find them as functions of time and replace the time variable with the numerical value of the actual time) and multiply! Voila, that's instant. power at a certain time. Note that you may need to deal with trig functions.

Power is defined as Work over time? Instaneous is 0 time. You'll never get it.

i find that there is power through prayer...and i am not one of those crazy religious people, just spiritual in my own way. :) the power of positive thinking and making contact with your source (god) is amazing! i recommend watching the documentary "what the bleep do we know?" and reading the book "the power of intention" by dr. wayne dyer.
