that happened to my bath robe. my mom said it might be fungus!!! just wash it, lots of clothes do that.

Next time you wash it use a bit of anti bacteria dishwashing liquid in the washing machine. I left clothes in the washer by accident for a few days and they all stunk. I rewashed them and added the dishwashing liquid and then hung them out on the clothesline and they smelled just fine after that. Don't add too much of the dishwashing liquid though because it bubbles up a lot more than regular laundry soap.

If you sweat to much the smell just kinda sticks to the shirt.

If you leave clothes damp for an extended period of time, they WILL grow mold and fungus and start breeding bacteria, which can REALLY stink.

I don't know, that is strange. Wash it using detergent... maybe then when it is contacted with water it will smell better.
