Soo, nice stuff so far. some fools and people who just know. I want you to did deeper though. Like this..... Sometimes i walk around thinking i look funny, then i see that everyone else is funny too. But some people seem to walk realy weel, with grace. I wonder if they know it, wether conciously or not. Does them knowing and having an ego give them the power to walk tall. Or is it genetic. Perhaps people who think they know and pretend to have an ego walk real funny. Perhaps its the people who dont thinkon any level about it that walk with grace, because no matter how silly it is they look natural...... And thats just a snip of my head on walking. what can you can do.

Be as good as you can be.

Every experience, if learned from, is not a waste.

Of the crooked timber of humanity, nothing straight can ever be built. (Immanuel Kant, badly quoted)

Hot chocolate over suicide.

Hope springs eternal.

Accept that you're an imperfect being as are we all.

Of the 5 things you want out of a partner, you will only get 4 at most. It's up to you to decide if you can live without that 5th one.

A stool needs more than one leg to support it, much as your life will collapse if you base it solely on your job or a relationship. Combine a number of aspects to create a foundation for your life.

I am probably wrong and probably right. There is always someone smarter and someone less so, but they balance out in the long run.

to be honest, i dont have a personal philosophy. yeah i could rhyme off the usual about loving each other but its a bit twee and not workable all the time - my cheek muscles would spasm every day with the neverending smiling. i deal honestly with other people to avoid fraud charges as i would hate to go to jail, and do no-one a deliberate bad turn as i would feel i had let myself behave like an unruly child. i can be outspoken and make sweeping generalisations. and sometimes be insightful and astute with great sensitivity.
the other day i was in the park with the family and found myself watching a group of elderly folks enjoying a picnic and suddenly realised that they were the children they had always been only with wrinkles from longevity. This made me smile and feel that i would no longer worry about aging - its just a part of life. I then thought i would like to grow old and just feel i had tried the best i could to be me.

Live to learn as much as you can about everything you can
......Knowledge is life. Without a will to learn what else is there?

Question always, never accept. Thats my personal motto anyway.... and
Curiosity should be the driving force in all life, because without it you are just a "shrugger"

Example... Me--"I wonder what kind of bird that is" Shrugger--" I dont know, who cares" ...shrugs thier shoulders.

These are my original thoughts and beliefs...no one elses!!

I try to be the person I want others to be. To have time for others, to help without being asked, to forgive and not carry grudges, to understand the other side of a situation. To spread a little hapiness wherever I go, to do my job as well as anyone can do it. I'm neither Japanese, nor Minbari, but I believe they have the right idea.

Peace!

My philosophy changes a lot. Currently it is to live creatively (to write stories and think about things/life), to live contemplatively (to try and meditate quite naturally in my daily life on the unity and inter-connectedness of all things), and to give of self to others. But it's hard, I'm not very good at any of these x

Try to live life to be the best I can. I try to be grateful for what I have. Wife, kids, grandchildren are very important. I always try to help others when I can. Just try to mind my own business and live in peace.

To be good and do good to others. Not to go to extremes and practise loving kindness. Above all, carry out my daily tasks thoroughly and to the best of my abilities.
