Can I find an emailer?

Question

I recieved an email from someone which was rather ominous and all I have to identify the emailer is their email address. No @yahoo, @aol just the emailer's ID name. Thanks.

Sorry, misunderstood your question at first.

In your email program, view the email headers or click on "View Full Headers" or some such. You may have to view the Message Source to get the email address as well.

Once you have that, forward the email to the abuse@ and complain.

That isn't enough data to track it down. Unless you know the provider the name in meaningless.
