How do you get rid of the smell of macramé/hemp?

To all art/craft lovers out there! I've bought a roll of macramé and made some jeweleries but I can't seem to bear the characteristic smell that comes with it. Is there a way to get rid of it? Thank you!

Get some fabreeze and spray your house down!

Good ventilation and some quality odor-eliminating spray, like Oust.

I split some sandelwood oil once....even after soaking everything in tide the smell was still there. It will work if you like sandelwood.
