When some people say " they will get out when they job is done", they actually cracks me up because they have no clue of what's going on?
Iraq is only the first step towards invading the whole gulf area, reasons will appear in time, but the main goal is dominating the mines of Oil, in addition , being in Iraq for now is the best way to insure the safety of Israel in the middle.
United States will find its way to Libya - The second biggest Oil inventory in the Arab area.

When Iraq looks like West germany....and the US will never "leave" Iraq...the whole point is to have a precense in Middle East...What is going to happen is a gradual pull out of troop replaced by large quantities of commerce...Id say de-millitarization by 09

When iraq is stable and free from the insurgency, when their military and police forces can handle the task of security in the region, when they have a national infrastructure such as electrical power plants and communication. Basically when the soveriegn can handle the support and security of the people.
