Nope. I don't see anything wrong with it. I do know people who will stare at mixed couples here in the south, but I think the couple just ignore those people. Some people can not accept mixed races/couples, but who cares. I they love each other, then race shouldn't matter.

There are nice people in all races and there are people who are not nice in all races. I like the different cultures.

While I can understand an interracial attraction, I would discourage anyone from an interracial marriage. It is another stress on the marriage. My personal preference is for the family look..

2 Blond parents, one Male and one Female.
With Children who look like both parents.

2 Redhead parents, one Male and one Female,
And the children they produce.

2 Italian American Parents, one Male and one Female.
See how the children resemble them.

2 Black Parents, one Male and one Female.
With their children who look like them.

I don't think i need to belabour this any further, Chinese, Greek, French, German, Jewish, and all of the other Ethnicitys.

Now when everyone gets together with their extended family. You can see the subtle differences and similarities. Everyone looks like they belong. There is a strong sense of Being part of, included in descended from, and understood because of a common background. The foods and sights and smells of Holidays bring back memories of childhood to everyone and the newest generation of children make the memories which will last them a life time.

I would also like my whole family to be one in religious beliefs. For me it's Catholic. When someone is getting married we find out what church they will be married in and what time the mass starts. We have the same holidays and have this additional support and comfort knowing that we are understood and understand other members of the extended family.

For benefit of clarity I'll use extremes. Let's say a white blond Irish Women, Interracial marriage with an unquestionably black Man. The adults accept differences pretty well because it was their choice. I mean it's part of the package. The along come the children. Now go back to the family gatherings. Do they feel like they belong with the White Family Gatherings?
Do they feel like they fit with the Black Family Gatherings?
Do they have white skin and black features.
Do they have kinky hair and their sister's hair is straight.
Does White Blond hair mom understand how to take care of her daughter's kinky hair.
Do the siblings resent one another because of racial traits that showed up differently.

I am sure there are some new traditions which can be adapted. How about Corned Beef, Cabbage and Black Eyed Peas? for St Patty's Day.

I think it takes a great deal of work to make children of mixed marriages feel comfortable and That's fine, if you realise it and know what you are agreeing to.

The Children however did not choose to feel like an outsider in their own family. If everyone mixes around it won't be an issue forever. However I like the differences. I like to see Mom and Dad and Children looking like a Set that goes together.

With that said. It is better a Great relationship even though it's interracial than an abusive marriage on the way to divorce. But you can look for the Great Relationship That is not interracial.

The more things a couple has in common before marriage the better. Getting married and raising children is hard enough as it is. The same Religion, Race and Culture is a good place to start.

God Bless You, ;-)

Well I'm actually mixed and its cool(moms black, dads white). But its kinda wierd because people are always like WOW. But I don't understand why if my mom is black and my dads white then that is WOW but if 2 parents are white their like whatever.

No, why do you ask?
Many 'mixed' couples are very happy, especially after they learn to ignore the racist remarks they are BOUND to hear at some point or the other.

My big brother married a girl from Uganda. He's straight from the U.S. and she's straight from Africa. A human is a human. Skin color is only skin deep.

Not as long as they are good to each other, but that goes for same-race couples also.
