I hear guys say they want a beautiful and sexy trophy wife/girlfriend all the time but when they see a woman like this, they never approach her, only stare or talk about her. So my question is "Why is it hard for men to approach BEAUTIFUL and SEXY girls?"
Please don't lie, they are certainly more hesitant to ask them out!

higher the prize, greater the risk. most guys in the machoness would rather sti back and wonder rather than risk getting shot down. these beautiful sex y girls have guys asking them out ALL the time so what's the difference between me and the other guy? she knows they all want the same thing and when the one guy that does come along seeking something else gets shot down.

It's not totally true that "all" men want a trophy wife. Some do, because of some need in their own personality that is missing.
Having been a trophy wife, early in my marriage, it took some doing to get my husband to understand that there was more to me than good looks. Men and boys fear to ask out the "beautiful" and "sexy" girls, because the girls know that they are beautiful and sexy, and tend to look down on the guys and other girls, maybe they don't realize this is the impression they are giving, or the guys just may be to scared to ask. Then the beautiful girl or guy needs to break the silence and say, "Hey, how you doing?" Get the other person involved in a conversation, and remember everyone likes to talk about themselves.

Believe it or not, most men are intimated by beautiful and sexy girls. I noticed that you included "trophy wife" in your opening statement. Unfortunately, this seems to be what most men consider beautiful and sexy women: trophies.
Some men are hesitant to ask women out not because of the fear of rejection, but out of their own assumptions. He assumes that, after being hit on and approached by so many guys or by her looks the lady will automatically dismiss him, that she is just a showpiece, he has no better a chance than the other million guys, etc. Most men often prejudge women by their attractive appearance, which dictates their approach, or their silent stare. Fortunately, this is only one type of man.

Guys have egoes if they go ask a "beautiful and sexy trophy" woman out and she says yes then they realize they will be the ugly duckling of the two.
My other theory is that men are just to damn scared of bein turned down by a hot woman........

It is the fact that most men think the girl will shoot them or something. The guys can't seem to understand that yes she is gorgeous.. but the worst thing she can say is no. I've tried to help my friends over come this... but to no avail. Looks like you will have to approach the ones you really want... or take the ones you can get.

well, the way i see it... the guys that see these amazing women and dont say anything, dont think they have a chance, thus, they dont do anything so that they dont have to go through the possible/often rejection... although in the end, it is definately a better idea to say something. but ya, some women can seem really... bossy, bitchy, stuck up, concieded, that kinda thing, and most guys dont really like that, so they just tend to stay away. there are tons of really beautiful women that go to my college, but it doesnt take long to realize who and who not to even go after... but there is someone for everyone! have hope, your knight in shining armor is out there, waiting to save you from the "dragon" whatever it may be...

Not being a guy I can't be sure, of course, but I would assume it's because they feel that she would be too haughty or feel too superior to them to give them any encouragement. Basically, they are afraid that they'll be turned down, rejected, and told to get lost.
Believe it or not, a lot of beautiful women don't date very much because guys are so intimidated by their looks that no one ever asks them out.

because 'BEAUTIFUL and SEXY' girls are getting hit on all the time so they have their gaurd up more. Hence more defense when approached so why would a guy go for a girl who has her guard up all the time?
