As Edwina Curry said, Margret Thatcher wouldn't allow many women in her cabinet as Maggie didn't like the competition.

Actually yes, I do. I think women would only use war and violence as a last resort. How many little boys have you seen play together and play fight, act like they are shooting each other, using karate on each other, beating each other up in general. They LOVE that stuff. How many girls have you seen that love to play fight? I'm willing to bet not many. My thought is that men glorify fighting and war. They find fighting and war completely infatuating and will use any excuse to engage in it without considering all the consequences. When you use violence, you are just asking for violence back. We needed to fight back after 911, so we send troops over to the middle east, and ooops, some soldiers go ballistic and kill a bunch of civilians over there. Don't you think that's wrong too and that their country will want to retaliate? Then we'll hate them more, and do some more damage, then it will come back to us, and so on and so fourth. And do you really think with all the soldiers over there, who are by the way only 18, 19, 20 etc, that some of them aren't going to have a lapse in judgment and rape and kill some civilians in countries we have troops in?? Let's be real here. I'm scared, because we are just asking for trouble. I appreciate what the troops are trying to do, but there are always some bad apples. And there are always mistakes. I think if the majority of politicians were women, we wouldn't have this cycle of violence. It isn't in women's nature.

No. A politician is a politician. There are plenty of power corrupt women to fill the halls of the capital already, they are just putting their attention on something other than politics.

Power corrupts!

Probably not because you are implying that there is no such thing as "evil" women or "good" men. And this implication is false. As for ruling the world, women are just way too emotional and not so logical thinking to be ruling the world.

Please don't take these remarks to be sexist. These notions are known to be true and are widely accepted.

Absolutely! Women see things in multiple layers not just as a one dimensional "item"; They tell it like it is, and for the most part, our women leaders are more "assertive" than "aggressive"; Men don't like to be challenged and cringe at the thought of being "outspoken" by a women; for many men, it challenges their masculinity; others, hey, they like a woman in charge: nudge, nudge, wink, wink!!

Definitely. But then again, I am biased!

As long as the women in government don't act like men, our governments could be run better, with more heart and saner.

That's the sort of question I'd expect a woman to ask. Are you starting to feel "a little light in the loafers"?

No, I don't think. It doesn't mean some won't be capable, just the world would be no better.

yea, i think so. women tend to think with their hearts and heads and not our libido. i personally think that if we had a woman president when 9/11 rolled around, we wouldnt be at war. she would have remained calm and would have prevented it from ever happening. the current president had warning that it was goin to happen, but did nothing. if he had been using his head, he would have thought about the future and wat would happen if we went to war wit iraq.
