I would have a look at two short pieces by Woody Allen: "God" and "Death." I believe that they are both available in Samuel French editions. I'm a little partial to "God," which starts with an ancient Greek actor and playwright arguing over how to end their play. Pretty soon, people start coming out of the audience, Woody himself makes an appearance (as a voice on the telephone)...it's absolutely inspired lunacy!

Something's Rotten in the State of Denmark is a fun one I was part of a few years ago. It may have more than 8-10 parts, but when we did it a lot of us played multiple roles, which only added to the comedy for the audience!

only look on the pros. a number of them are great at comedy yet no longer at severe drama; others are superb tragedians yet unfavourable at comedy. some start up out good in one and alter into the different. lots of the greats study to do the two. So sure, call your self gifted--and then attempt to polish your expertise via gaining knowledge of the thank you to be greater versatile.

I have several short one acts you could use royalty free, but none of them have 8 to 10 characters except my Xmas play, "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Xmas."
