A lot was learned in both wars.Notice how modern appliances IE airplanes,radar,came from the second world war.nylon and rayon also.We learn a lot because the spending limits are revoked and the type trials are quicker.
biggest down-side is a LOT of people have to die.Many,many more have to suffer.Some will get rich.

Lessons of wwI: tanks replace cavalry. Machine guns are effective in trench war. Poison gas is very scary stuff, with the makings of widespread civilian casualties. Big corporations can make lots of money supplying a world war.
Lessons of wwII: Careful of large authoritarian regimes with charismatic leaders, in the age of media propaganda can turn millions into minions.
Nuclear weapons scare the piss out of everyone. Large corporations can make really big money supplying world war.
Lessons of wwIII (1948-1991): If weapons are scary enough, big powers can fight one another using nothing but propaganda. In many regards this kind of fighting is kind of covert cooperation between the big governments (See Orwell) to control their populations. A scared populace can be convinced to go to smaller, backward countries to pound the tar out of them with advanced weapons. Large corporations can make really good money supplying this new kind of world war.

if there is one thing we learned is you must take action when you are atteacked. so i say GOD(or moses in isreals case) BE WITH THE MEN AND WOMEN FIGHTING THE WAR.Isreal has been attacked and they need to take premptive strike to end the violence.

we learn to do it more carefully. thats all. i dont think we learned jack ****. we still fight. we still loose lives. we havent learned anything. absolutly nothing. i hate it so much!!
