Okay, I met someone from an extremely spiritual community who insisted after having hung out with me for a little while that I was an indigo child. I know what one is, and I know the friggin' characteristics so for the love of god don't copy and paste those characteristics here like they were your own ideas b/c everyone else posts the same thing with the same friggin wording!! That gets on my nerves!!!!!!! Anyway, My question is that she says I need to unlock my "something" (can't remember what) and when I do, I'll receive enlightenment and be able to do things other ppl can't. So what kinds of things are we talking about here? Because I want to levitate and move things with my mind and be invisible. lol Definitely explains the empathy pains I get if it's true.

Suggestion -

Go back to your 'new' friend that you hung out with, and ask that person to explain in different/more clear terms - just what it is that you are supposed to unlock ----

After you get the word you are searching for, see if that person feels that you got the correct idea/message by giving some feedback - explaining how you understand what has been said.

In the new age spiritual community (which speaks about Indigos) there is not yet a general consensus of new vocabulary, that is understood by all. . . and perhaps this is where some of your confusion is coming from. . .

Indigos are reportedly awesome people - Welcome !!!

Oh, yes, you'll be able to levitate things with your mind. Of course! And while you're at it, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.

Seriously, grow up. How many people do you know that can levitate things with their mind? Not even the "indigo children" can do that. Why don't you read a good science book instead of science fiction?

This whole indigo child idea is rediculous. There are all sorts of very commonly accepted psychiatric and mental disorders to explain what's going on. Auras? Could be synesthesia, could be optical malfunctions, could be epilepsy for all I know. Creative? Come on, that's not even that abnormal! Don't like authority? It's called teenage angst, some people just get it young.

Look, I fall under damn near all of these "indigo child" qualifications, and I have come to accept the fact that there are perfectly reasonable explanations for all of them. I'm not special. I'm different, perhaps, but so is everybody.

If you don't believe me, tell me in 2013. The fact that you'll be able to tell me will only back up the fact that you're wrong.

Well,I dont believe being an indigo child has anything to do with levitating & stuff. If you are interested in doing those things you need to be connected body, mind & soul with the universe & that is no easy thing to do. Also if you are looking to unlock that "whatever" try some meditations & ask the universe or whatever deities you work with to help show you what it is you need to unlock. You are on the right path. Blessed Be.

I've been told that im an indigo child aswel, so dont feel alone. Were put on this arth to make a differance so why n ot jsut do what you were put here to do? You wont be able to levitate or float around or fly or anything, but you will reach an enlightened state of mind, I can promise you that. Just focus on what you think is right for you and what you belive you were put on earth to do. Email me sometime because I havent met someone like myself before. darkblade_kalki@yahoo.com

Well, I don't think enlightenment here is related to telekinetics like the folklore surrounding high level Buddhist monks.

Unfortunately, I'm dreadfully practical so this response may not be as mystic as most would hope. Enlightenment seems to be the ability to separate emotion and fact from the problem. Or better manage their balance. You are able to analyze everything from a very factual, practical point of view, then use the emotional side of it to decide what of those elements are important and in what way.

As for moving things with your mind go to psipog.net. They seem to have fun with it. By the way, the small but significant electrical potential in your body will have you doing the tinfoil-on-a-pin trick pretty quickly. It's a fun trick to play with others.

"Indigo children" sounds vaguely familiar to me. I thought it was something related to mulato mixes though.

Undoubtedly if you have superhuman abilities you will find out about them. Of course there are many amazing abilities that don't involve scaring the daylights out of everyone.

Consider it this way: is it more superior to levitate badly and scare a crowd of people, or write brilliant poetry and scare a few? A lot can be done with less than the supernal.

Good luck, and be mindful of your own self deceptions. You can find a path in life even if it isn't strewn with enchantment.

There's an old Hindu saying that goes something like, "Hoping for siddhis [the side-effects of enlightenment uber-powers like levitation you're talking about] is like begging the king for a penny and ignoring his offer to you of the entire kingdom." You may be an indigo child, but lusting for results is not what your unlocking is all about. It's about opening your heart and allowing your light to shine.

I dont beleive that indigo children exist. We are all equally gifted. We are all given gifts from our wonderful creator who loves and cares about us. If you want to grow spirituially with God, you do it through prayer and a relationship with the God. God will not give you magic tricks, he will give you salvation, comfort, and peace.

And I've never even heard of "Indigo Children" being able to move things with their mind, thats not what its supposed to be about. "Indigo Children" is a new age thing, it means your aura is indigo and that your supposed to be a creative helper person for the world. ( hello, were all helpers of the world)
Its not about magic tricks and stuff.

We are all God's Children. We are all special. We are all chosen to do God's work. Through prayer you can find your purpose.

Only the real Indigo Girls can do that stuff. They signed with a record company. Good agents can get you anything. So you better learn voodoo.

All organised methods of explaining our world-in the end-forget that everybody is an individual.
You are not an Indigo child because someone told you you were.
You are what you can be.
You are what you allow yourself to be.
