Damn right...people who go to the movies alone are independent enough to not feel they need other's around them at all times. If I wanted to go to a movie and my friends/family didn't, it wouldn't stop me. I don't care what other's might think about me in the theater.

I went to the movies by myself last Saturday. Part of me hated it because I didn't have anyone to share the movie with, but part of me liked it because I could sit wherever I wanted.
There are two things people do not like doing alone: eating at a restaurant or going to a movie.
I don't mind eating by myself at a restaurant, but I hate going to the movies alone.
As for what I think about someone who goes to the movie alone? I think they either couldn't get a date, don't have any friends, or they just wanted some alone time.

I always thought I would have a hard time going to the movies alone. But, when there was a movie I really wanted to see that my wife didn't want to go to and my friends had already seen, I had some free time and I went by myself. It wasn't bad. In fact, I mostly forgot that I was alone anyway. Except when I turned to say something to the person next to me and there was no one there!

being a person who goes to movies alone, i can say i do it for some "me" time, and i also go during the day in the middle of the week when there arent any families with screaminmg, squalling kids to annoy me or ruin the movie.

I think it is fine! If you want to see a movie, relax, and sit in air conditioning, there is nothing wrong with that. If I were a teenager I would be afraid my friends would see me, because it is a status thing, but if you are in your 20's or older then just do it. Sometimes you need to get away and if you really want to see the movie then go!

It depends on their sex and what they're going to see.
I used to be comfortable going to the movies by myself, until I went to see a horror film by myself which was also had sex in it. There wasn't many people in the cinema, and no one in the rows behind me, no one in the 8 rows in front of me, and a guy at the end of the row I was sitting on, and a few people up at the very front. The guy in the row I was sitting on started jerking-off to this film. So this would make me wary of people going to the cinema on their own. Like know knows what would have happened if there wasn't those other 3 people in the room... Scared to even think about it.

i'm all for it, i do it all the time. my husband is a truck driver so is never home, i have friends with busy lives, so if i want to see a movie and no one wants to go, i'll go alone. it can be quite peaceful really, going by yourself! i can get there as early as i want, park where i want, get the snacks i want, no one talks to me during the movie, LOVE IT! i don't understand why so many people have to have someone to go with.

I would think they chose to go to a movie alone. There is no reason to think anything different without additional data.

They either wanted to see the movie real bad or they are lonely like so many people in this world and do not let that stop them.
