i dont think a woman will be us president in our lifetime.

Well, It could be as soon as 2008.....unfortunately, I don't think Condie will run, and if she does, I don't think Americans are not ready for a black woman president. Hillary isn't much of a prize either, and her late move toward the right will be seen by the Dems as just that. So hopefully, 2012 or 16. It's about time, and if a strong woman steps forward, she has my vote. This is from what the moron ( Jim Valentine ) upstairs called me...a baby boomer. No Faith

Excuse me, we over here had Maggie Thatcher, and whe was one of the strongest PMs we've ever had, they called her the Iron Lady.
She declared war on Argentina, and ordered the sinking of their biggest ship, and won. She waged war on the trade unions, and won, taking away the power they had. She had a fair bit to say about the IRA and she was very conservative.
Don't assume all women are weak.
A female president would be no bad thing, but the amount of bigots you have over there it cold be a while.

Sometime after they stop taking all the sweet "Slow Down" sign jobs in construction zones. Why would a woman want to be the most hated person on the planet? Aren't they smarter than that?

I think the US is ready to except a female president, but there aren't many strong candidates. So it could be a few decades before someone is nominated.

being a woman, it makes me sad that we still have not had a female president. all of our presidents have been old, white men. i think that maybe in my lifetime (i'm 25 now) we will see a female president (although i like hillary, i dont think it will be her). i think that we will see a black male president first. obama maybe? what are y'alls thoughts on that one?
