No, and that is the point of having two opposing parties. By having different views, the two parties allow people to make a choice about what our government does. I know that's not always how it works in real life, but that's the theory. If there were only democrat views or only republican views, we would not have a choice; but because there are more choices, we are not forced with one set of ideals.

If there was - politics wouldn't be any fun to follow. It would be Boring! And as long as turkeys like Bush keep getting elected, there's no way there would ever be such a thing as peace between the parties.

Before Rush radio and Talking Head TV drubs, it was kind of civil, no where near the kindergarten type atmosphere we live in now! Like Socrates said many years gone, The public will tire of one and bring the other with time! It's just a big cycle.

very doubtful, I'd say no, never because people are all individuals and have different opinions on issues so there will always be people disagreeing that will form different parties.
