its an okay name i have a friend named katie but with out the e and its a nice name but it is a very comman name !

My cousin is a Catharine. But she was born on St. Patty's day, so the nurses nicknamed her "Katie" - it stuck.

I really like the name.

I think it's been over done. I really like the name Katarina, Katia for short (Cot-Tee-Ah). It's Russian for Katherine/Kathy. Sometimes it's spelled Ekatarina.

Honesty, not really. It's just too common. Even just "Kate" would be better - plus it sounds more mature.
