well, by the standards of some other countries, I would be rich,.. but I think the average American does not consider themself to be rich, and I count myself as an average American, so I do not think I am rich.

I am not rich. I work about 30 hours a week, making decent hourly wage, and I'm saving about 75% of my earnings for college starting in fall. Also, since I'm getting married I try not to spend too much, just enough for gas and a little extra for entertainment, etc. I have two savings accounts and a checking, but absolutely NO credit cards! Of the devil, LOL! My car is paid for and I am able to pay insurance every six months.

Let's see...
I work two jobs, get paid every two weeks, yet always broke! Can't wait to run home and cook my 100th pack of Ramen noodles...I scrounge for change in the car seat to get enough gas to get to work and repeat to get home, look for the cheapest groceries, eat tuna out the can for lunch while others go buy the $10.00 deluxe sandwich with all the fixins, come thanksgiving I'll have to put my Turkey on lay-away! Turned off my road runner at home coz I can get on-line at work. And oh...did I tell u I only wear designer stuff...that Poly and Ester line is great for all occasions! Also, a teabag is not a teabag unless u use it twice!... If it wasn't for free coffee at work, and the occasional free food, I don't know that I'd make it in to work. Finally, thank God for dollar menus, (makes eating out such a treat), dollar stores, life couldn't be more exciting when trying to count the two-for-one items in my shopping basket! ...and all you rich bast**ds who drive shiny new cars past me and own big A** houses just don't know the meaning of "The good life" !! You only live it when u can recount how u can recycle foil paper by washing it and straightening it out to use again next time!

Im not, Im 22 and still in college, my assets are just my books and my 2004 BMW M3 my parents bought me. Other than that, i only have an untouchable trust fund by grandparents left me that i can get when i get out of college. As of right now, i got nothing brother. My parents are rich though, we live in the same neighborhood as Micheal Dell, here in Austin.

I guess it depends on what you consider rich is...

If you think rich is having shelter, enough to eat, clean water to drink, suitable clothing for the climate, someone who cares for me, a dependable job, healthcare, etc.... than yes, I am rich.

If you consider it to be owning expensive cars, houses, clothing, jewelry, etc... than no I am not rich.

By the way, if you can afford a computer and internet connection--you are not poor :-) If you are using someone else's computer/internet all the time to be on things like Yahoo Answers, than perhaps you should use that time to find a job :-)

Well I'm probably the poorest of the lot. I get $1032/month and by the time I pay my rent,bills,buy groceries and do laundry, there's nothing left for anything else. But the way I look at it, at least I have a place to sleep,eat and I have my cable tv and internet for entertainment.

Well, I'm not. I have a hard time paying for school and my car, but I am able to live moderately on my own and pay my bills. So maybe I'm moderately rich. Who knows?

I am no where near rich....I have $80 in my checking account to last me until I get paid next week Friday.
