Has anyone taken either a History of Rock college course or A Family Studies Course?

I'm taking these two classes in the fall at a local community college and I was wondering if anyone has taken these classes in college. And, if so, did they enjoy them?

My history of rock course was a distance learning course- and it was easy, although tedious since I had to watch Vh1 style commentary and a textbook made of Rolling Stone articles.

Should be even better with live instruction.

Could get boring if you're not into the Blues and roots music.
