The urge to kill is what we call a baser instinct.It comes from the "fight or flight" instinct.We all have this instinct inside us but thankfully most of us control it.
Why do some people kill?Some people just don't have the ability to hold this urge in check.
If you don't think you have this instinct,try being a soldier where it's kill or be killed.

Ummmm I have never really had the urge to kill anyone. ive been very angry and have wanted to smack the hell out of someone but killing has not crossed my mind. I could however kill if it was to protect myself and my son! No doubt about it! Otherwise its just not in me to take a life. Some people are wired wrong and they just cant control their emotions and actions. They have no conciense so it means nothing to them when they do take a life

I don't have that urge...at least not at this moment. Slap around, maybe...but not kill.
I suppose anyone could be driven to take another's life if the circumstances were right. Self-defense, jealous rage, defending another's life, defending country, revenge, greed, power, cover-up of guilt, insanity, personal violation or the violation of a loved one. That pretty much covers it.

I can't remember ever having the urge to kill someone, oh! I take it back, my X husband. Yup I would have killed him but I was chicken.

Because we view them as a threat and we want to eliminate that threat. But then again there are people who do enjoy it so much, they just do it for fun. Ok I guess that we are just messed up selfish people.
