Tatoos should be a personal decision. The fact you are second guessing yours and needing to ask people what they think about people with tattoos in certain locations leads me to think that you shouldn't get your tattoo yet.
Trust me, I have a tattoo and it took me six long years of thinking "yes, this is what I want" before having it done. I opted to have it done on my lower back because I wanted to be able to show it off when I am young, and then even when I am an 80 year old grandma I could wear a swimsuit and nobody would notice.
I'd say be VERY sure on your decision before placing a tattoo so visible (such as your inner wrist) on your body. You don't want to regret it later. :)
Good luck!

I just had a tattoo on my left wrist done last week. It does hurt, but the tattoo artist will stop every inch or so and wipe excess ink off with paper towel, so that gives you a break. The good thing is that your tattoo sounds small so it'll be over quick. When you are done, you'll wonder why you freaked out so much! =) Just go do it. You'll live through it. I think I am a wimp and I made it! Go do it today and get it over with already! You'll love the outcome...oh go get some Aquaphor for aftercare..you'll need that stuff. I specifically got my tattoo in a spot that my wristband would cover when I work. I took my watch in to make sure. Also I normally wear a charm bracelet when not at work. Seriously, not many people have even noticed that I have a tattoo there. It took my kids a whole day to see it!

I'm not sure that a whole word would be a good idea on your inner wrist. Chances are, it would look tacky. You'd probably be better getting a symbol that represents the word.
I'm a big tattoo fan (I have 3 and planning on getting 5 more soon), and when I look at various tattoos I usually think "Ooh, nice tat!" or "Hmm... That's kinda tacky." I typically like wrist tattoos, but only if it's done in a fancy style and it's not too big.
That's just me, though. Sorry I can't recommend any websites on wrist tattoos. :(

Since you asked, I think widely visible tattoos on men or women are not a good plan.
It depends of course what your career goals are.
If you plan to be CEO of a bank someday and make six figures, I would rethink that idea and place it someplace meaningful to you but not visible to the outside world.
The added benefit of it not being in a highly visible spot is when it changes (and it will) you won't have to look at it as much. Go look at the men from WWII in a nursing home and their once-proud Army and Navy tattoos and what they look like now.
It's not pretty.

I like tattoos on the inner wrist you just need to make sure it is done by someone good, who will make it fits the curve of your wrist so it doesn't look crooked.

My sister has one there, she regrets it because it's hard to cover, and a lot of employers don't approve of tattoos. Also, the ink bled a bit, I think just because the skin is different on that part of your body. I would talk to your tattoo artist and get their opinion before you decide that's what you want.
That said, I love tattoos, and I hope you end up with one that you enjoy!

I have the om symbol on my inner left wrist. It doesn't hurt that much. The one on my lower back hurt a LOT more. As for work, it depends, I work at an accounting firm and no one has said anything bad about it to me or asked me to cover it up.

you should feel that the placement is right to you... I have 3 large tattoos and many and one small one... if you put it in a place that you see it all the time you might get tired of it... especially if you tire of things easly...
Because you are second guessing where you want to put it and wondering what others think... you should wait to get it until you personally want it... and don't care what others think... You are you and that's the way you should stay... don't do or don't do things because of what others say... That's the way that only lives a life of regrets...

i know someone who has something written on both of their inner wrists, i think it is better then getting it anywhere else, but maybe loyalty with some kind of cute design or a flower or something with it, that would be cute

Some people may think you tried to slit your wrist, or -- are just wearing a bad bracelet. How come there are more tattoo regrets than you can shake an ink gun at?
