Good question. First nor Lothian have a service that way and it's not on a National Express route either.. Your best bet therefore is MacEwan coaches, who operate a bus line 100 from Edinburgh to Penicuik and Biggar five times daily. Unfortunately, I cannot present you with a time-table or the like, they haven't a website either. But call them.. 01387 256533

Alternatively, go to an indy hostel on the Edinburgh High Street and ask for their touristy bus services. There is a chance they visit the Borders too, and they're cheap.
