I dont necessarily want to sell them, I want to introduce myself and just let them know who I am, unfortunately my advertisements dont come out until next week and the end of the month is coming... What are some things I could say? I dont want to be annoying, Im not trying to close a deal, I just want to let them know who I am, what I do, and where to find me.
By the way, my business is an auto detailing business. There are two other similar businesses in town. They are busy so I know there market is there, the problem is no one knows I exist. Please Help! I want to be polite, this is a small town and people here support small businesses, in fact, we're one of the only towns without a WalMart yet so I know we will be well recieved.
Thanks/

Does distributing flyers make me look desperate? I live in Ontario Canada, not sure about the do not call list.

We are offering 25%off our deluxe package (reg 199.99) until the end of this month, also a discounted rate to used car dealers or any other high volume customer, and a free shuttle inside town from home and back. Great ides, looking for something I havent already thought of though.

First, be aware that each state has a "Do Not Call" registry. If you telemarket to people on that list, and they report you, you can be fined hundreds of dollars.

I think that you would be more effective by distributing flyers than calling people. People are not going to remember you or write down your phone number based on a telemarketing call from you. You could put flyers on car windshields in crowded parking lots. Also could distribute flyers door-to-door and could introduce yourself in person that way.

In your flyer/advertisement that is being printed, tell people about yourself, why you started the business, what makes you different from your competitors. Maybe include a coupon for 10% off for first time service, or feature a particular service every month at a discounted rate.

Good luck!

Compared to offline businesses, the investment required to start an online business is minimal. A popular way of earning money on the internet is by providing information and services. This can be monetised by advertising or charging a subscription. You can also make money online by selling products on auction websites like eBay or through your own website. Is there a Chamber of Commerce in your town? If not, contact the closest one-they have great ideas-also if there is a welcome wagon or val pak coupons, that reaches a lot of people. Have a grand opening and see if you could get a radio spot.
