why does everyone get so defensive about some of the questions asked on this site? a lot of the "offensive" questions are asked just to see how many people they can get pissed off. so, why get so offended? why not just skip that question?

People like getting upset. When you do this on line there is no danger to writing the insult or stupid comment. Most of these people wouldn't dare act that way in person.

When people get offended they give the offender the satisfaction of winning. I have found that the best way to go up against an offensive comment or question is to answer it back with as much knowledge to your opposing side as possible. Never get mad in your reply. Keep it to the point in showing them that they are wrong. When u have the facts, people tend to hush up. or just do as u have ben doing and don't answer it. Skip it and move on.

Some people are uptight. Got nothing better to do than to than to complain. They must be uncomfortable with the sick shoved up their a**. They'll get over the stupid questions. I frankly enjoy the stupid ones. They amuse me.

Because online they are able to act and react however they want, so they are really confronting things in their lives that they can't control in reality like a mean boss or nagging spouse or kids or whatever
