Personally, I'm a big fan. Quite addicted sometimes...but I like to know what people think about it. As for my mother, she thinks he's 'the devil', but for me, I adore the storyline and the characters. How about you?

I love Harry Potter too and am fine with my little ones liking him. I think people who hate him, haven't read the books or seen the movies and are going on assumptions that are accurate. A lot of narrow minded people out there!

Very nice stories, lots of rich detail and fun to read. The movies of course have to be so cut down that they are only like a cliff notes version of the books but to see what you have only imagined is always worth it. I cannot see how anyone can think it is "From the Devil" unless you think all fantasy, science fiction and most TV is also "From the Devil" Harry Potter is much more tame then 90210.

I really like Harry Potter, has mush as its not real its a great fiction movie but some people try to do the thing they see in the show which I personally think is wired. However some just hate since nothing in it is real "who can cast a spell and it happens." Crazy isn't it!!!

I throughly enjoy the Harry Potter series. People who think that it is a bad influence on children need to realize that it is FICTION, none of it is real, and nobody is trying to say that it is. If the books have an influence on children, it is because their parents did not teach them the difference between fiction and reality. Also, things like the wizard of Oz, Snow White, and the like involve witchcraft, but you do not see anybody forming angry mobs over them. The crazy book banners need to chill out.

I never read the books, only saw the films and thought they were a little cheesy. My girlfriend read the books and said that they were much better.

In the first 2 or 3 films, I hate the villain monologging at the end to explain his whole plot. In the most recent one the whole teen love thing and the prom were boring to me. I'd rather watch him fight a snake.

i know how you feel. I personally get quite a thrill from harry potter and i LOVE the charaters. i see no harm in reading them and perticipating in things realted to harry potter. although there is a limit, i mean i wouldnt go around casting spells on people for that is witchcraft and i disagree with that totaly. i saw dont let the opinions of others bring down your enjoyment in the thins you love.

I really enjoy the books. I don't get why people have to read things into the meaning of these books. It's just a story. I cannot wait till the final book comes out!

I LOVE the books. I used to like the movies too but they've lost their flare. The movies are WAY overpromoted. They are not all that!!
