First of all a fat person is considered fat with a whole lot less than 50% body ft. But . . . no, they should not be restricted from buying fatty foods . . . or foods with a high fat content. It is not up to the government to decide what a person eats or doesn't eat. Additionally, the human body needs some fat to function properly. Of course, this can be obtained through low-fat items, but still they would be considered fatty foods. Also, please bear in mind that some "fat" people are not fat because of the food they eat. There are many people that have physical conditions which prevent them from losing the weight that they have acquired because of a physical condition.

Absolutely not!
People have different metabolisms and some people actually GAIN WEIGHT on a low-fat diet (I'm one of them.) A diet that works for one person may be disastrous for another. And, eating fat does not necessarily make you fat! Fat is actually necessary for the body to produce certain hormones. Fat is not the villain that most people believe it to be.
Regardless, the government should NOT be given the power to decide what someone can or cannot eat.

I do think that food stamps should not fund food that does not nourish. Example, Coke, snack cakes, potato chips , lets all pay only for food that contains maybe 10% of the RDA of something. I am fat and am losing weight on a low carb diet that is partly fatty foods. I am diabetic and a low fat high carb diet would kill me. fresh fruit, veggies, rice and lean meat are not always the answer

i don't think it should be illegal, but there should be black box warnings, like on cigarettes about the dangers of getting obese.
I think that the Food and Drug Administration should stop fast food resturants from making and selling unhealthy foods, I think it would save some people's lives if they actually cooked at home.

That would be the same thing as making it illegal to buy cigarettes if you smoke more than a pack a day. Wouldn't work and doesn't make much sense.

No because its the land of the free...not the land of the fat free. People have choices..and just because some people dont agree with their choices doesnt mean they should be punished for those choices.
