Dont know what you look like, but you sound like you are starved for compliments.
Beauty (cuteness) is no guarantee to self confidence anymore than money is a guarantee to happiness. Be happy with what you've got and go forward with your life. If you've let yourself go, make a serious effort to bring your appearance to it's original best, and move on with your life.
I've met many people who are not what are called lookers, the world if filled with them, but what they say (messages from their hearts) opens windows into their inner selves that provide an image so irresistable that no one can help but love them.
In closing, let me add that there's someone for everyone. No matter what your outer self looks like, your inner self will paint a picture irresistable to someone (possibly many someones) out there.
