Someone who just plays guitar, just does it to be doing something. To a guitar player, it is their life.

"One who plays guitar" plays with their fingers, possibly a guitar pick. A "Guitar player" can play with their tongue, and can do super cool kicks while hammering-on a crazy screamin' solo. The Player gets massive amounts of opposite sex action.

ummmmmm.........Not sure what you're asking here..........I guess you could have a drummer that plays guitar. he/she would refer to themselves as a drummer, but they could also be called 'one that plays a guitar'
Is this a riddle or something?
